One Week To Go ...!

It was October 6th, 2006 when I left Hald (Mandal), heading to Arendal, my practice place. Almost six months are over, and I'm now thinking of leaving this place, for Hald. Ohhh yes, only ONE WEEK LEFT, and in TWO MONTHS, I will be thinking of going back home-Tanzania. Sounds cool.
It have been so nice been here. I met wonderful people, I work in a wonderful school with people full of love and passion. I must say that I'm grateful for that. Life have been good, dispite some challenges that can not be skiped. Working at Moltemyr skole has given me a life experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Snow!

Looks nice ...

Well, well ...
I don't have much to say, but I just wanna say that snow is a good thing to have. I've seen it, so nice and had fun.
Went out in the evening with Yessenia ...

Explore and New Year!

I went to Krik - Explore camp, A winter camp in Lillehammer. It was so cool being there. Had a lot of fun togather with some of the international students. This was funtastic. With a lot of activities, I went for break-dancing. I have never tried this before, but I said to myself that I should try. Yes, I did.
It was so challenging. If you have ever done that, you understand what I'm talking about. But well, at the end of the camp, I ended up enoying it.

We also had a new year celebrations at the camp. Went somewhere up to see fireworks

We made a cross ...

Wonderfull Jul!

Hi there,
I'm back in my blog, so happy to talk about my christmas and new year. It was such a wonderfull christmass celebration for me. In the beggining, I was a bit worried because it wa the first time to spend Christmass away from my family and friends. I must say that I was wrong. This is because I had a wonderfull time and enjoyed everything. The family I stayed with is full of nice and caring people.
Of couse, christmass is celebrated differently from what I'm used to. People doing shopping for the whole month, decorations, jule brus ect.
I would like to share some christmas photos with you all, but unfortunately, I can't do it for now due to unavoidable circumstances.

The Gathering
I'm back in my blog, and this time talking about the FK Gathering we had in Kristiansand. It was Friday, 21 October 2006 when we met other FK participants from South. This was a very good meeting, discussing about several issues and sharing ideas and experience. Also, we met the six international actnowers, it was good. It was so nice to meet people from countries like Lebanon, Etiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and others.First, we met at Arkivet and had a short tour there. Then we left for HiA University where we had teaching and discussion about development issues, including the UN Development goals.

Golf Career

Ok, they always say that it is good to try new thing. I have been thinking about this statement. Oh yes, it's true. I'm now on that caomaign. Guess what, I went to try playing golf.
At the biggining when I saw people playing, I thought it is a simple game. Well, it isn't. It is a very tough game.
Although it is tough, I think I like and enjoyed it. It is very refreshing. Some say that perhaps I can have a career on it. Mhh! May be. I think so. What do you think?
I'm now thinking of trying something else, but I'm not sure what it is!

My Practice Place

Starting new life
It is exciting to be here in Arendal and life is good but very challenging. I met and still meeting new people.

My home
I live in an appartment, by myself. It contains a bedroom, living room with w kitchen and a bathroom. It is s nice appartment and I like it

My practice place
Monday, my first day at school
I was assigned to work with first grade. They are small kids aged six years old. It is was so exciting to being in this class and especially playing with them. 'Hva heter du'(what is your name) was a common question and of course togather with many other questions in Norsk.

Second grade
From Wednesday, I started to work with the second grade. I will be there for two weeks.
They are aged 7 years old. They are very sweet, loving and caring as the first grade. I really like them.
I met two girls from DR Congo. They are students at the same school, Moltemyr (but not in the first and second grade). They lived in Tanzania, they speak a very good Swahili. I'm so excited meeting them and I enjoy talking to them as they remind me of home.
School environment is nice, togather with all the people whom I work with.
The biggest challenge now is language. These kids do not speak English, they only speak Norwegian.
Some times they want you to play with me. Yes, we play. But when comes to communication, I'm always the worst. I hope I'll learn this language very fast.
